Will Carling

Will Carling famously described the Rugby Football Union Committee as ’57 old farts,’ and has lost none of that blunt and humorous approach in his after-dinner speaking routine. A daring and darting centre with Harlequins, he was the youngest ever England captain at twenty-two and steered them to back-to-back Grand Slams in 1991 and 1992, and to a third Grand Slam in 1995.

An OBE, he skippered the team that finished runners-up in the 1991 World Cup and scored 54 points in his 72 England appearances. He captained England a then record 59 times. Wiltshire-born Will was an Army officer before concentrating on motivational speaking and corporate hospitality.

He has a degree in psychology and is considered one of the most inspirational and interesting speakers in the land.
